Locally Grown
Fayette Alabama Farmers Market
You’re always welcome at Fayette Farmers Market, where our commitment to locally grown, fresh produce and goods has helped Fayette grow into a healthier, better and greener community. All producers at our market grow and make their products locally. It’s all Alabama Grown and Loved! Support local famers and artisans at our Saturday Markets, held every summer, all summer.
Support Healthy Communities
Farmers markets are the place where you can connect with the hard working folks who grow your food. These markets contribute to healthy food systems that sustain our families and communities. When you support organic farmers at your local market, you directly enable them to farm the land.
Seasonal Fruits
& Veggies
Every season has something tasty to offer, from onions to fresh spring peas, to summer berries. And just to show that Mother Nature always knows best, getting in tune with seasonal eating has a host of many nutritional benefits!
Cut your Ecological Footprint
You’ll leave some footprints in the grass at your local market, but that’s nothing compared to the hundreds of miles food travels to arrive at supermarkets. Couple the fuel savings with reduced packaging you get while at market, and you’ve got an environmentally friendly shopping experience.
Saturdays 8:00am–11:00am
About Our Local Produce
Something Tasty for Everyone
Buying from our Local Farmers allows you to support small, local farms and agricultural operations. This means that the food you are eating is available seasonally and does not require the waste of energy and petroleum to ship the food half-way around the world. You are eating food from your own environment, where it has perfectly created nutrients for your specific climate and region.
At the Fayette Farmers Market you can find a variety of fresh produce at more affordable prices. Many growr fruits and vegetables that are not “certified organic”, as this is a costly and often bureaucratic-heavy process, but are pesticide and herbicide free.
At our Farmers Market you can buy all different kinds of vegetables, fruit, herbs, meat and other local products. We have listed our favorites to give you a small taste of what you might find.

Meet
Co-Managers,
Lann & Sarah
Lann Stewart and Sarah Die-McElfresh are the dedicated co-managers of the Fayette Farmers Market. In 2022, the market was moved to the new location at the Depot in an attempt to revive a dwindling market. New vendors participated and the new location resulted in more traffic. Keeping the market popular and running has not been easy, yet the increased interest is encouraging. As of the 2023 season, the market will be held on Saturdays from 8:00am-11:00am. The Saturday market, will allow more people to participate while beating the often brutal afternoon heat. We hope and expect more vendors, as well as, visitors on Saturdays!
Lann and his wife produce vegetables, fruit, eggs, honey, jams & jelly, as well as an assortment of baked goods on their homestead, Stewart Farm. Lann is always learning and trying new things while perfecting his farming practices. Stewart Farm is a no-waste farm applying regenerative agricultural practices.
Sarah is the owner of Fannies, the fabulous restaurant in the heart of downtown Fayette. Fannies buys their food products from sources as local as possible. Much of the food is grown or raised in Fayette by local farmers. The beef served is sourced from Vista Farms in Fayette. Unlike many restaurants, all food at Fannies is made from scratch with the freshest, seasonal ingredients possible.
Thanks to all the loyal customers and the strong support from Fayette Mayor Rod Northam, the Farmers Market is going strong with a new location and new day.
